The Leão Holandês is a classic 3-mast schooner from 1910 that makes exclusive sailing cruises on the river Tagus (Lisbon) or up to Cascais, along the Estoril coast. Our teambuilding workshops, celebrations, incentives, and other events are well known and highly appreciated by our clients. We will make your exclusive sailing cruise an event to remember.
The company has 2 classic sailing boats, the Leão Holandês and the Westenwind. On our boats we can accommodate groups from 10-75 people or 108 people if we sail both boats together. With them you have the best view of Lisbon on an exclusive trip.
Many companies enjoyed a well-organized event on board, varying between parties, congresses, incentives and even meetings, sailing along the Lisbon coast in the open air on board the charming Leão Holandês with the coastal areas as background.
Reunions, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, baptisms and family parties are memorable events, especially when held at unforgettable places. Find out more about the services included in our private events, and come aboard with your family and friends.
As a guide I have had the privilege to sail many times with the Leão Holandês. Whatever the season, it is always a magnificent experience: cruising along the river Tagus’s shores, you are perfectly positioned to watch Lisbon’s colourful cityscape go by and discover the beauty of this wonderful city. The ship is majestic, well kept and oozes style with its 100-year old beauty…

The ship is characteristic and warm, just like its owners and staff. They are thoughtful when it comes to helping people with a handicap, elderly people and children on board. They make you feel safe and welcome on board.
The trip we took on the Leão Holandês with our company’s team was excellent and a successful experience. Besides the great service and friendly crew it was the perfect place to host our corporate event as it created the right atmosphere to connect and enjoy each other on a breathtaking tour showing off Lisbon´s finest as Belem, the Bridge, Docas and the Cristo Rei statue.
Ever since I celebrated my 50th anniversary on board of the ‘Leão Holandês’, I have regarded this ship and, not to forget, it’s crew as a jewel on the magnificent River Tagus: love for the nautical splendor of sailing, rigorous maintenance of the gear and, last but not least, gorgeous hospitality and great catering. The ‘Leão Holandês provides by far the best opportunity…
